Abstract

GitOps has evolved from a deployment technique to an operating model for managing system state at scale. This research examines advanced GitOps patterns that ensure deterministic deployments through declarative configuration, drift detection, and controlled reconciliation loops. The paper introduces a governance model for multi-tenant repositories, environment promotion, and emergency change procedures that preserve auditability. Results show improved deployment consistency, reduced configuration drift, and stronger separation of duties in regulated delivery environments.
