What We Publish

Domains span AI/ML, data engineering, systems & infrastructure, health informatics, HCI, CPS/IoT, sustainability, and data policy.
Prepare Your Manuscript
- Structure: Title, Authors/affiliations, Abstract (≤250 words), Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments.
- Length: 6,000–9,000 words typical; Short Communications ≤3,000.
- Figures/Tables: Numbered, high-resolution; captions must be self-contained.
- References: Consistent style (APA/IEEE/ACM acceptable); include DOIs where available.
- ORCID: Provide ORCIDs for all authors where possible.
- Data & Code: Provide availability statements and persistent links (e.g., Zenodo, OSF, GitHub releases).
- Licensing: Recommend CC BY 4.0 for article text; code under OSI-approved license.
- Artifacts: Include README and version tags; cite datasets and software formally.
Use our Author Template (DOCX) or LaTeX Class for consistent formatting. Minor formatting issues won’t block peer review.
Ethics, COI & Integrity
- Conflicts of Interest (COI): disclose for all authors and editors.
- Human/Animal Research: provide IRB/ethics approvals and consent where applicable.
- AI & Sensitive Data: describe safeguards, privacy, and compliance (e.g., de-identification).
- Integrity Checks: submissions undergo plagiarism and image/data forensics screening.
Peer Review Process
REGKT uses double-blind review with at least two independent reviewers and an Academic Editor.
Target initial decision: 3–6 weeks (varies by subject area and revision depth).
Open Access, Rights & Licensing
- Open Access: all articles are free to read and reuse under a permissive Creative Commons license.
- Copyright: authors retain copyright.
- Licenses: CC BY 4.0 recommended; alternatives considered on request.
- Preprints: allowed and encouraged; note server and DOI in your cover letter.
Metadata & Identifiers
- DOIs: Each article receives a Crossref DOI upon acceptance.
- ORCID: Include ORCIDs for all authors to improve attribution and discovery.
- Funding: Provide grant info (Funder Registry names/IDs if available).
- Data/Software DOIs: Cite datasets and software with persistent identifiers.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
REGKT operates an open-access model. [Customize: state your APC amount here, if any, and provide waiver/discount policy for students, low- and middle-income countries, or invited special issues. If no APCs, write “No APCs at this time.”]
How to Submit
- Review the scope, ethics, and manuscript preparation guidance above.
- Prepare your files: main manuscript (PDF/Word), figures, tables, and supplementary materials.
- Include statements: data/code availability, funding, COI, ethics approvals (if any), and license preference.
- Go to Submit Manuscript and upload your files.

Final Submission Checklist
- All authors listed with affiliations and ORCIDs
- Title & abstract finalized; ≤250 words abstract
- Figures/tables high-res with descriptive captions
- References complete with DOIs where possible

- Preferred license selected (e.g., CC BY 4.0)
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I submit a preprint?
Yes. Preprints are allowed and encouraged. Disclose the server and preprint DOI in your cover letter.
Do you allow code-only or dataset papers?
Yes, if there is clear documentation, a stable release (e.g., tagged GitHub/Zenodo), and an evaluation/use-case section.
What file formats do you accept?
Word (DOCX) or LaTeX (ZIP with source). Submit figures as separate files where possible (PNG, JPG, PDF, SVG).
How long does review take?
Initial decision targeted in 3–6 weeks, depending on the field and reviewer availability.
